This project outlines a site-specific automation model for predicting and coordinating events and configurations of the civic forum at Doca de Santos, Lisbon, Portugal. The model is informed by direct and voluntary human input through the combination of a mobile app called eGov Lisboa and urban dashboard displays across the city and within the pavilion. The application seeks to crowd-source issue-based direct democracy and community events for Doca de Santos and the greater Lisbon area by facilitating and amplifying the voices of the people, especially those whose voice would otherwise not be heard by governing officials. Embedded on-site sensors collect data that is used to create an automation model for programming the civic forum according to the data from the eGov Lisboa, the time of year, day of the week, and time of day.
